I am trying to create a built-up beam comprised of a 2X piece of lumber, a 7/16" OSB spacer and another 2X piece of lumber. I'd like to show one center line down the middle in plan view like a steel beam shows. Is this possible? I can't figure out how you get a center line only on a steel beam unless it is the steel beam material that automatically causes it.

Thank you,

If you have an even number of pieces (which you do in your case), edit your beam and uncheck "Inside Visible" and "Outside Visible" for all the lines except one of the center lines. You can edit your line texture.

Define the material as you normally would, and add a NONE material with O" width in the centre and let that be the only visible line.

The plies were unequal Yvon because I had a piece of OSB in the center. The none material was the way to go. Thank ya'll!
