When i import a PDF thru review, using shapes, sometimes different things are shaded black, usually in the world of "notes" 

is there a setting maybe, that will stop this.

No ... Or at least not that I have found ... Normally I delete the black area's if they occur.

They are typically polygons - like boxes around a note.

You can do a type erase of polygons but you might be erasing something important.
