How can you draw bigfoot deck footings that are now code instead of sonotubes

One easy way I would approach that is to import a 3D warehouse model of the footing which can be found here if I am not mistaken of the product you are referencing to:

Import this into SoftPlan as an individual model and scale it according to your size requirements. Then use the Footing feature on each post to add a concrete base and offset the symbol to the bottom of the post footing.

I don't see a "Footing " option anywhere for posts. I only see the ability to add a 'Round Pad" or " Square Pad" below the post. How do you tell Softplan to use the imported symbol?

Yes, you are correct! That was the wrong term I was using but it will be the Round Pad settings in the post properties. There are a few forums that explain in depth how to import custom models:
