When using Attic Truss command how do we create a hole for the stairs, the ceiling drywall is easy to remove when you use create hole tab on the Stairs.

But it doesnt cut out and leaves the Bottom Chord on the Attic Trusses.

Also when you create an attic space why does it seem to default about 2' in from the ends. We typically use the gable end as a framed finished wall.

I can set the width on the attic truss tab 14' typically which is great. should be a way to use the gable as an exterior finished wall.

Typically, when stairs are framed up through attic trusses, the trusses are spaced so that they do not interfere with the stairs, or they set on a wall right beside the stairs. In either case you can reflect this in the roof plan by moving the trusses to the correct locations.

Thanks Wedall, I had to explode the roof then move 2 trusses as a block. that got them out of the stairwell, now just need to fill in top landing area.

would hope in the next update they could give us a Stair hole cut option for the Attic Trusses. Gracias.

Wendall explained it exactly how they would be built.  You'd have a girder truss on either side of the stairs then fill in with ladder framing between trussed.  No need for softplan to create something that isn't done in the real world
