Drawing a Cape with Dormers. Can you change the size of roof rafters when drawing main roof (2x10) and Dormer (2x8) . Or do you have to edit after you auto stick frame the roofs?

If such a setting existed, it would most likely be at FILE > SYSTEM OPTIONS > DRAWING OPTIONS > MATERIAL DIMENSIONS > ROOF OPTIONS. I do not believe there is such a setting. The method you stated is probably the best way to achieve your goal.

Gary, With any roof edit the edge , set heel height, seat cut etc to match roof engineering. For the dormer, as you mentioned you can auto stick
frame and then edit rafter to size or frame using individual rafters and framing members to determined size. Steve
