Hello, what is the best way to draw a deck with railing and a screen?  Ive done it several ways but they all seem to be clunky.

 

1.  Ive tried making the whole set up in a wall definition...it works but gets a little messy where there are columns.

2.  I use auto rail on the deck, then trace a very basic "screen wall" in between posts.  It works but with revisions i pretty much have to redo it.

 

Any tips/suggestions appreciated!!

 I've done it with a wall definition and separate railings and solids if needed. Pieces in the wall itself get clunky and are hard to adjust as you said. Though, it's been awhile. Maybe the newer version will work better for such things.

 

I suppose you could also use banding, chair rail and other interior trim items to get some pieces a bit more customized.
