I don't know if this will work or not, but if everyone on Softplan and any where else in the world would ask the Lumion Development Team for a live sync, just maybe they would do it...... Here is the link to get this going:  Send feedback and ideas to the Lumion team   I know most folks don't use a separate rendering program, but if you ever do ..........And from Alice's Restaurant:  " if just three people, just three people do it, it becomes a movement."  THANKS!!!!

Send feedback and ideas to the Lumion team

Does that need to come from Lumion or is it something softplan would have to change?  I would love to see the live link added as well

All from Lumion.  It would be such a  huge  benefit for Softplan users.

I am highly interested in using Lumion for rendering SoftPlan models, but it would be a treat to see Lumion support LiveSync. I have submitted a suggestion about a month ago to both Lumion and SoftPlan. I do agree that if there are enough users notifying Lumion to support LiveSync for SoftPlan, it would be noticeable by the Lumion Team. This would be a great feature to utilize Building Options but also for the ease of convenience since both programs are powerful tools and to put them together in sync is a game changer.

I as well would love to see Lumion Sync with my SoftPlan. And i will also send a request to Lumion for this feature. I hope it goes better than my correspondence With Lumion and 3D Connexion. I feel there is a deep resentment between these companies that will never be resolved. Pride can be such a destructive force. I actually had a Lumion rep question my need for the 3D mouse. He basically told me that navigating with the keyboard was just as good as a mouse. We agreed to disagree.

HA!  Good luck with Lumion.  I heard all the doorways in their offices had to be widened.

Could you do that with a group select edit?

Sadly, if you look at the list of supported programs the common thread is Autodesk or Affiliates. Guessing they aren't too eager to help the competition.

Correct...they think softplan is a program you buy at menards.

Speaking about competition, I always had the idea that SoftPlan could develop their own external render engine to work natively in SoftPlan. A name idea I had was SoftRender

There are also a lot of other niche and competitors to Lumion such as Twinmotion and D5 Render that I am noticing but another render engine would probably take away too much time from the SoftPlan developers to create and maybe that time could be used to improve SoftPlan in-house render engine instead.

Overall, I don't think it's a long shot for Lumion to add SoftPlan to LiveSync but I do agree that Autodesk would be more concerned about competition if SoftPlan had LiveSync support. It is only a matter of time...*fingers crossed*.
