Hey;

 

Newbie here .. I took a basement wall detail and I want to make my own wall specs.  Basically building a stepped down foundation wall in 2' increments) for a walk out basement look.  I have the whole wall modified and completed but I can't seem to put the sheathing on the outside of the wood wall.  in the wall specs it gives you the horizontal offset and vertical offset of specific material.  I can't tell the system to push the sheathing to outside of the stud as I can't use (-) numbers as 0 is the edge of the stud aligning with edge of concrete and I need it to be -0.5" from 0 location ?!? HELP HELP ... lol 

 

Any ideas how this is possible ??

You need to start with the very outside material, in this case the sheathing, at 0. Is the concrete part of the same assembly? If it is, it should be simple to line up the framing with the concrete be the horizontal positioning. If you are stacking up walls in the same drawing, that can create a bit of a challange, but I believe the outside bearing edges should line up. In this case you set the framing, not the sheathing to be bearing, and also the concrete.

Perhaps move all the other materials to the right .5"? Just add .5" to  the horizontal offset of all the materials and they will all shift right and give you space for the sheathing.

Quick way to add the sheathing to the outside is to add it to the wall definition, then, with snap on, move sheathing where you want it in the wall definition diagram, and all the other wall materials should adjust appropriately.

On the lower left side in the wall graphic you can right click on the materials and select "move". This will allow you to drag it to where you want it to be.
