I've just been looking at Minwax's colours .... Their palette was more extensive than I showed, but its difficult to sample the colours from woodstain samples, so I must have cut my palette short when I made it originally. You'll just have to make do with what you've got.

The trim colours I uploaded earlier were plain colours.

Use these if you want to show stained wood. I understand that the Mitten colours really aren't available for wood, but there are coloured stains that are available from various manufacturers, and these stains will allow you to co-ordinate your colours.

You can of course use these for staining interior trims, fixtures, cabinets etc. Pretty much anything wooden.

Again, as stated above, Minwax colour stains are limited.

Keith,

Thanks for sharing the siding and esp the board and batten. We also use Mitten and it will make my renderings just that much easier. Thanks.

Okay Softplan Users, since you've all been so nice to me on the forum, to celebrate my 1000th post, I'm going to give you a small gift ....

In a recent thread there was some discussion about Board & Batten Siding, and as a few of you may know, I did a little experimenting with some graphic design, and as a result here is a ZIP file containing my work.

This ZIP file contains 67 different colours of board and batten siding @ 8" o.c., all of which are completely seamless. 54 are based on MITTEN VINYL colours and 13 are based on MINWAX woodstain colours. These should enable you to coordinate with standard vinyl or stained finishes - These tiles have been created from a FILTER FORGE texture, and some graphic wizardry. Use them as you see fit, there are no copyright restrictions ... Just don't sell them.

Standard Disclaimer ... These are as close as I can get them, but please check actual samples, I take no responsibility for issues arising from their use. ....

If you use them, a thank you would be appreciated, and it would be great if you could post a 3D model view showing how they turn out.

I hope you find them useful.

DEAR SOFTPLAN ... If you wish to use these textures inside the program, feel free - if you think there may be issues with the naming, please rename them to suit.

Sample ... Annapolis Blue

I have Filter Forge 6, just need to learn to use it.

Thanks for Board & Batton Keith!

Keith-just ran across this post (again) from 2015 and thanks for the board and batten patterns.  Thank you very much.  I have been trying to find some that I like to no avail.  Of course I find it about 2 hours after I sent the client his design rendering.

Hmm - I just tried to download the board and batten textures but an error message says no longer available!

Keith, is there any chance you could re-upload these?

Thanks

We recently were hit with ransomware. Lost EVERYTHING, details, notes, symbols, textures, job files etc.  . Trying to get all my textures back. I remembered all the great textures that Keith shared. When i click on the attachments to download it says the files are not there? Am I doing something wrong or were they removed?

Todd, it appears that the files are automatically removed after a certain period of time.

PM me with your email address, and I'll send you whatever I can.
