Just wondering if folks that have upgraded to 2024 needed to archive their 2022 files and then import them to 2024?  Or you were able to just do a clean upgrade? (hopefully)  Thanks.

I did a clean install of SoftPlan 2024 in addition to having SoftPlan 2022 still on my system. Some projects that I wanted to keep in 2022, I just directed the project file to open in the SoftPlan 2022x64 application. However, SoftPlan 2024 has a nice prompt when opening a 2022 project in version 2024 that asks if you would like to open ONLY the current project in 2024, or if you want to convert all similar files (2022 files) to 2024 when opened. Very soon I will uninstall 2022 once all of my projects have been converted since SoftPlan 2024 is officially released and I am already benefitting from the new features that are being used in all of my active projects (both past and current).

Thanks.  Did all your custom walls, textures, symbols, etc....auto transfer too?

Setup Drawing Templates with the project that has your custom walls. Then when you open that Drawing Template in 2024 your custom walls will be there. I copy the projects as needed that I want to open in 2024 to a Projects 2024 folder, once you open it in 2024 you can't go back to 2022.

Pulled the trigger and upgraded.  Yes, I did need to archive the files from 2022 and reload them into 2024.  Easily done and now on to 2024!

I upgraded this morning. So far (using since 2018 version) this has been the smoothest transition. Up until now, even though I have exported/saved my system options and loaded them into the new version, not everything transferred. I still had to go back a set up my personal settings every time. So far, with 2024, it seems all of my custom keyboard shortcuts and settings are working just like they were in 2022. Which is AWESOME! I hated having to re-create all of my keyboard shortcuts every upgrade.

Thanks Softplan!!!

There was a thing with 2022 where if you clicked on "archive all" it didn't actually do all. The trick was to click each button separately. But that appears to be fixed!

i am still finding problems with various items since updating.  i archived 2022 and restored into 2024 but it didn't take all of my custom libraries, textures, hot keys, etc.  i have slowly been working through it but still get off textures on the walls, etc when starting a new project in 2024.
