Are the Radeon RX6000 graphics card compatible yet....?

or are we still limited to Nvidia cards to make use of the new pathtracing/raytracing render?

 

Specifically looking at the  RX 6750 XT or RX 6900 XT

 

Should I be more focused on the CPU's core and multi-thread count than the GPU?

The number of CPU threads mostly affects just ray-traced mode. The speed of CPU affects pretty much everything, and the GPU affects 3d modes other than ray-traced.

SoftPlan Ray casting (path tracing) has been working on an RX 6800 XT card.    AMD has improved their drivers since they were originally not recommended.
