I noticed that if I use the DRAW SELECT tool, the item that is generated wants to revert to the layer that is active while using the tool, rather than remaining on the layer of the source item used with the DRAW SELECT tool.. initially the new items looks like it's matching the layer of the source item, but it seems to "revert", all on it's own, to the layer that was active when using the DRAW SELECT tool...

 

(hopefully I've described this so it makes sense)

 

I think this is new behavior with v24..

 

I have noticed this with OPENINGS.. uncertain if this is happening with other objects as well..

 

anyone else seeing this ?

Yes, it happens to me quite frequently. It's just one more thing to remember when using that command: check the layer. DRAW SELECT should duplicate EVERYTHING when invoked.

Please create a ticket with a drawing that you can repeat this on and provide the steps to recreate it.

I will Brent... of course now I'm having a hard time recreating the issue ( I did just install latest update )... so when (if) I see this happen again I'll shoot out the ticket..
