I need to create a few exterior textures with specific paint colors.

Example, I need a standard 8" siding with a specific Sherwin Williams paint color, or a stucco with a specific paint/finish color.

I believe I seen instructions on how to do this somewhere, but I can't seem it figure it out (in a timely manner).

I've been a SP user for over a decade and probably should have taken the time to learn how to do this by now, but here I am..

If anyone can walk me through the steps it would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any advice, and hope y'all have productive week!

Rob

Here are some Sherwin Williams ".aco" files. I don't know if the color you want is there. Go to your Softplan "C:\SoftPlan2022\3D\Color Swatches" or 2024 and paste them there. There's 3 different aco files, color family, color name and color number.

I hope this helps.

Here are some more that I just found, they may be duplicates. I found them at the below link.

Looks like they are already in 2024. Surface edit your Stucco Wall and select the the color the you want. If you want more than one color stucco you would have use "Stucco B" or a different material.

Lots of times I just goggle the paint color and snatch it right off the screen using the Surface Edit (right click a wall in rendered mode) and use the ice cream symbol to select color from screen.  Often need to increase the Relief Depth in the lighting mode to keep the texture.  I have a folder with a bunch of odds and ends colors that I use all the time.  It works pretty good when a person says they want to match a color of house and they send the jpeg.

Thank you.
To be more clear, I understand and know how to use the color swatches and surface edit.

It is when I use a siding texture from the menu, I need to make this siding a different color then what is preloaded.

When you surface edit the siding, and select a SW paint color, it changes it to a smooth color without the lap siding look.

Same with stucco, if I use a stucco texture from the menu, and I need use a specific paint color, it changes it to smooth.

Or should I be looking at how my wall definitions are set up, not surface edit.

See attached screen shots, I want the look of a standard lap siding, but I need it to be a specific paint color provided by the builder.

You just need to increase the relief depth ... as Fred said earlier.
