I recently upgraded to 2024. The first thing I notice is that Cleanup is taking MUCH longer than it did on 2022. Sometimes it can take up to a minute or longer. It's like the software is getting hung up. Am I the only one having this issue?

Larger homes, yes.  I use a lot of wall profiles and dimensions so that doesn't help either.

Dell XPS 15 Laptop - 9th Gen Intel Core i7-9750H - GeForce GTX 1650 - 4K UHD OLED, 16GB Ram, 512GB SSD

I had no issues with cleanup on 2022.  Initially I thought it was b/c I was using a project I imported from 2022. I created a new project that was only 1,800 living. I've only got the floor plan done and the cleanup was taking over 30 seconds after I added rooms and areas.

What did tech support have to say?

I realize this is an older post, but I also have had issues with cleanup time taking 20 to 30 seconds, which is driving me INSANE!  I'm running SoftPlan+ 2024.

I contacted support probably 6/8 months ago and sent a drawing. They could not recreate the issue on their end.

I thought possibly the issue may be that I'm saving to SoftPlan cloud, Google cloud, and also One Drive cloud (not that I want to save to One Drive but it keeps reverting even after I turn it off). I've disconnected internet and still long lag cleanups continue.

I went so far as to spend a lot of $$$ on a new laptop thinking that was the issue.

I think a cleanup is just for the page, maybe the project, but I'm thinking just the drawing page.

Does every project do that?     Cleanups I see are about 3 seconds usually.      I believe "Cleanup" only cleans up things that need help like Cabinets, etc

Maybe one thing in there it sticks on.               ?

Do up a real simple plan with just a few walls and nothing else, to maybe see how big the problem is.

Just a few walls it should cleanup in a nana second.

I have a weird issue, can't remember what was happening, but I had the same name on 2 drawings that were in different projects,   I change one of the drawing's name and it fixed it.

I'm having very slow issues with the 3d model regen. This changed ever since upgrading to 2024. Very annoying. I also have a very pricey gaming computer, so it should be rocket fast. It take 4-6 sec in between commands. Both with small and large homes.

What could be causing this?

I find if I have my annotated elevations, sections, and a few 3D views open it causes the lag. Of course, it is nicer having at least some of those things open while making changes. So, it is annoying. Try closing most and see if it makes a difference.

This may not be the problem with your particular situation, but I've noticed painfully long cleanups when certain symbols are used with symbols from the Wolf library being the biggest culprint.  I also have a few elaborately detailed entry doors that will cause SoftPlan to take minutes to clean up so I use a place holder (simple symbol or door) until I'm done changing/cleaning up the plans.
