Hi All, Just updated to 2024 + and trying to figure out the cursor lock, If I use block move it only moves on the x and y axis and I can't turn off cursor lock while moving something, did they change it this much or is there a setting I'm missing?  In 2022+ I can turn cursor lock off and on as I'm moving things and it works with both block move and item move.

Thanks!

Hmm, I also noticed my shortcut (F11) for cursor snap isn't working as well, just curious, are you using windows 10 or 11?  I have windows 10 machine I updated and the cursor lock is working like it should.

Try a RESTART ... Shut down and reboot doesn't do the same thing, so actually run a RESTART and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks Kieth, I did figure out if the plan was started in 2022  I'm having that problem, if I start a new drawing in 2024 everything is working fine, I'll have to mess with it a bit more.

Well, I finally gave up and just reinstalled softplan and that fixed it, I guess it was just one of those weird things.

I also have had problems with cursor snap not working with F11. If I have the Select tool enabled, F11 does not allow me to turn on/off cursor snapping but once I enable another tool such as opening Walls, Symbols, etc. F11 works to toggle snapping on/off. I did not try to do a clean install of SoftPlan since I did update from 2022 to 2024 so maybe that is the problem.

The only time I ever unlock the cursor using block move is if I am moving something like a note that I am never going to dimension to.  I am not sure but I believe if you unlock the cursor and block move a wall that it will no longer be on the SoftPlan 'grid'.  When I have done this in the past I usually start getting dimensions with thirty-seconds.

Hi, I am having this same issue with F11 and F12 not working. I have tried restarting, has anyone who re-installed SoftPlan confirm that fixed the issue?

Thanks!

Hi Marcie,

I did a reinstall and I thought it was fixed, but I still have the issue, to get around it I figured out I need to have more than one drawing open, I click on the tab for the other drawing, then click on the the tab for the drawing I'm working on and it seems to fix it, you'll know it's working if the F11 key selects the cursor snap, at first I thought it was because one of our machines is running windows 11 and the other 3 are running 10, but it seems to  be doing it on the windows 10 machines as well.  I also thought it could be if I opened a 2022 drawing was the issue, but I would make a new drawing in 2024, and the next day I would work on it and run into the same issue.
