Drawing a 24’ long wall with the first 12’ being 8’ high and the second 12’ being 9’ in height with an exterior door centered at 12’. The problem is that I can put the door on one half of the wall or the other but unable to center it. The floor is the same height under the walls.

Many thanks!

ps I am using version 2012

Draw the entire wall in one section, then EDIT the wall and select the TOP OF WALL tab. Select STEP in the drop down beside style. Hit the SPLIT button to break the top of the wall into two sections. Use the NEXT and PREVIOUS buttons to move back and forth between the two sections. You can now edit the height and length of the wall sections as neccessary.

EDIT: I just noticed that you're on '12 so chances are this will not be helpful.

Try adding another 4’ wall on the section where you want 12’ adjust the appropriate wall offset and uncheck cleanup on the “Common” tab. Check hidden on the 4’ wall so it won’t show on your planset page.

May need to add another wall 12’ long 1’ ht and offset 8’ up above the 24’ 8’ wall

Yes, Richard and Gary I understand. The 1’addition to make the 8’ wall become 9’ should work fine allowing me to put the door in the 24’ long 8’ high wall.

Many thanks to everyone for taking the time and effort to offer helpful suggestions!

Micheal, I misread your post, yes it should be a 1' wall not a 4'.
