Not looking for a work from home or abroad drafter. Need an in house drafter at the address below. We are using Softplan 2024 version. See below for what we are looking for. JOB TITLE: Architectural Draftsman – Full time
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Adding/drawing building options to house plans, drawing site plans, creating pdf’s/documents for permit turn in, heat loss calculations, beam calculations, footing calculations, obtaining documents needed for building/mechanical permits, submitting plans for building permits, and picking up permits
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- College degree in architectural drafting
- Knowledge of drafting software like AutoCAD, Softplan, Chief Architect, etc.
- Abilities to learn new computer software quickly
- Good with computers
- Knowledge of building codes
- Knowledge of building/framing processes
- The ability to understand and visualize house plans
DESIRED PREFERENCES:
- In the field/job experience
- Knowledge of heat loss calculations
- Knowledge of beam calculations
- Knowledge of footing calculations
- Experience with the permitting process
- Knowledge of wall bracing
STARTING PAY: Depending on experience
