Replying to Drawing Bilevels

Hello Randy,

I started using SoftPlan back when version 13 first came out. Since then I’ve upgraded until v2018. However, I am mostly retired and have decided to stop paying the monthly $45 subscription fee and they made me revert to v13.

This morning I was looking at the Forum for assistance or a sample plan for a bi-level plan. I saw where you had replied to a Brian who asked a similar question way back in June of 2015.  I have a similar situation. I live in Florida where we have no basements and few (if any) split levels. I have been asked to draw a house similar to one shown pictured on the accompanying link. I have not done such a house and was wondering if you had any hints or samples to get me started on a multi level house.

put "softplan split level" in subject line

and include your phone number,  country or origin in message area.

You should read the tutorials Understanding Joist Levels and Proper Use of Reference Points to get you started on SoftplanTuts. That should give you a good base to start.

You could always open another instance of Softplan. Would that work?

i'm sure one of the 2-story plans is bi-level.

 

you can always contact tech and they'll know which one.

 

their in canada,  if you have plus there's an 800 number

on the "start page" when you first open softplan.

you can also get to the start page by "closing the project

your working on"  //    file / close project.

 

btw, does anyone know how to get to the start page without

there are no bi-level plans in the sample drawing in my version of Softplan v14 that I can see.

You mean with two or more floor levels on one drawing?

What I mean is a split entry.  i.e.   Entry at grade level a go up 7 riser to main floor or down 7 risers to basement area.
