Jeremy is correct that you need to be aware that "visible items only" w2ill not move other items on different layers on the same floor plan.
However, you are experiencing something different if you are moving items on one floor and it is also moving it3ems on another floor.
Take a look at the task bar and if "Link Floors" is highlighted.
If it is then if you move items on one floor it will also move items on any others floors in the model.

Hello, I've been using Softplan for 10 years but have never been formally trained. Apologies if this is a rookie question!
I'm wondering if there is a way to keep objects in an "off" layer from moving when in another drawing mode (clear as mud, right?)
Example: I have a 1st Floor drawing mode and a Foundation drawing mode. In Foundation Mode, I have all of my walls, openings, etc layers turned off (basically everything except my plumbing fixtures layer). If I MOVE BLOCK and move a block of shapes in foundation mode, it also moves all shapes in my 1st Floor Drawing mode. I've also noticed if I move a dimension line in Foundation mode while "attach" is on, it also moves any dimension lines that are close-by in the 1st Floor drawing mode. Normally turning off "attach" fixes this...but I'd love to keep "attach" on so that my dimensions stick together when moving one. Just wondering if there is a way to lock everything on a different mode so I don't swear every time I forget to turn off ATTACH and have to keep moving stuff back to where it goes.
