I'm looking into switching to SoftPlan and have been messing with the trial version and have a question on walls.  Is there a way to input wall measurements when laying out the exterior footprint, as well as angled walls with continuity?  I know the F12 button changes the ortho mode but am curious if there is an easier way.  TIA!!

Just curious, what are you using now?

Lot's of ways to skin this cat, for me, I get it close by looking at the tool bar were the distance shows, then after the walls are all drawn, I dimension each and adjust, there is also a grid tool that you can turn on and off...a key board short cut custom key makes quick work of turning on/off the grid, and then there is the keyboard arrows that you can entry a direction after you input the distance you want to travel, then you can draw half the walls of a symmetrical layout, use copy block, copy and then flip....plus ....well, you get the idea...SP looks like a simple program and is very easy to use, but OMG there are so many ways to get things done...I have been a SP user for 20 years and have tons to learn...I try new tools or a new idea someone on here has done, man some of these folks are GOOOD....this forum is a great place to hangout and learn from really great talent...Enjoy and hope to see ya again ....

Yes, using distances and arrow keys ...

For example a 5'-0" x 5'-0" box can be drawn with lines (or walls) by using the following keystrokes:

L (line) HOME 60 → HOME 60 ↑ HOME 60 ← HOME 60 ↓ HOME ESC (or you can use 5- (5') instead of 60)
