I'm sorry to hear that your effort won't go forward either.  I would have/would still happily pay a monthly fee, and agree to terms holding you/the site harmless due to anything downloaded or used.  And, I still get it.  People are too quick to want to sue these days.

First, I love SP, simple to use and a tool with lots of capabilities....but, some tools are better for just a specific task....3D , and boy we have come a long way baby, I stated doing two point perspective renderings by hand...my point,....simple SP is good, but other tools are simply at a whole different level...and thus sometimes one needs a speciality tool....but, I would love to see manufactors offer their files in a open source environment...till then, time to dig into your tool box and "Get Her Done"....plus when I come across a website with stuff I would like to have, I send a request to their sales department....most of the time, nothing....and sometimes some SP kind sole will share what ya needing....I WAS in the procress of developing the "OLD BONEYARD", but after two relatitives, both in the business of protecting my backside convienced me to either aquire ERRORS &OMISSION insurance AND a monthly fee to watch over any possible issues from such a huge exposure, well, I quickly understand why SP canceled the BONEYARD.... aaah, now, back to the old "drawing board"....

Why is it so hard to find texture files from these building material companies? They have "visualizer" capabilities on their websites, so I know they have texture files.

you would think they would be more willing to supply this information when I'm trying use it to sell their products to our customers....

Anyone else struggle with this as well?
