Is there any improvement in the way 2020 uses  the CPU and GPU over 2018?

I'm considering a PC upgrade in the near future and was wondering....

Thanks

I think it's about the same if not more taxing from what little I've used it. The unfortunate reality is the more features, the more they use all the resources.

One thing that I personally noticed is that an upgraded video card made a big difference.  I had been using an Nvidia GTX960 Ti and wasn't noticing any issues on 2018.  On 2020 it seemed a little slower and little more sluggish.  As Mark mentioned above newer versions always consume more resources because of added features.  I upgraded the video card to an Nvidia RTX 2070 and have noticed that things are working more smoothly than on the older card.  That was the only change that I made to my system.

Thanks Guys

Wish they were taking greater advantage of the new GPUs out there. I have a 2080 ti but it does nothing for 3D Raytrace. I'm looking into a i9 9900k CPU build but have been wondering how much bang i'll get for the bucks i'd have to spend???

Currently I'm running a I7 5930k OC to 4.1 It is a 4 core CPU seems to me more cores the better?

Thanks

Mike

Lets face facts here ... ANYTHING should run fast with a 11GB 2080 TITAN video card ... Most people don't spend $1,200 on a whole system, never mind just the video card ...
