Is there a way to turn off screen colors when exporting dwg files?  When exporting pdfs you get a dialog box that you can check or un-check the screen colors.  So far I haven't come across that option for dwgs.  The engineer I'm working with uses AC and doesn't want to see the SP line colors.  He has a way of converting the lines to a single color, but I'd prefer to give him what he wants.  Is there a way to save it as a new drawing and convert everything to black lines?

Create a single new drawing ... change all the colour options to black in the DRAWING OPTIONS menu. SAVE as a blank drawing (check it's properties in windows and change to read only - So you can't accidentally save over it). When you want to send him a black drawing, merge your drawing with this one, and SAVE. Since it's read only, it will ask you to give it a new name. You can then save it, with the same name as the old drawing and add a BLACK suffix.

There are a couple other options too - if you draw with everything on the default layer, you can just uncheck "Use Item(s) Color"  in the layer setup dialog box (the default color is black, so now anything on the default layer will be black).

If you use different layers with different colors, you can click in the white space around the checkbox in the default item color column and drag it down, you'll notice all the boxes in the item color column will highlight a red rectangle around them. Now when you uncheck any one of the boxes, they will all uncheck. Do the same for the fill column - highlight the first box with a color and drag it down, then change the color to black in one box and they will all change.

Good idea, Keith. Didn't think about the layer colours. That may be quicker.

..... you can click in the white space around the checkbox in the default item color column and drag it down .....

You can also click on the column header. That will highlight the whole column in one go too ...
