I've tried copying a single line item (such as 8" Block) to a new line so I can change the formula without losing the original. When I turn the original line off (include: NO) so I don't get a double accounting I can't get the copied line (unedited from the original and include set to YES) to appear on the report.

Is this a software glitch or does softlist have a maximum amount of line items that can't be exceeded?

After you create a new material, you have to tell SoftList where you want it to show up in the report. Click on the layout button at the top of a SoftList report. Once your in the layout screen, find your new material in the far right hand column. Now drag that material and drop it where you want it in your report layout on the left. BTW any material that has not been added to a report layout will show as BOLD in the Materail list on right.

Is there a way to copy a material calculation from one report style (standard detailed) to another one I created (remodel-customer)?

Go into the material table that has the materials that you want to copy. Highlight the lines that you want to copy. Click on the "Export" buttonin the lower left of table. Save the Exported file somewhere.

Now go to the new Material Definition table and click on the "Import" button. Find the file you just saved and "Open" it up. The imported lines will show up at the bottom of your material Table. You can Copy and Paste them into their proper location now. Finally be sure to delete the duplicate lines at the bottom of the Material table once you have Copy / Pasted them where you want them to go (otherwise you'll have double the quantities)
