I prefer to have doors display swing at a 45-degree angle. Is there a setting to achieve this as default in System / Project / Drawing option?

Currently Edit / Repeat Edit to change door swings from 90-degree to 45-degree,

1. Go to System Options

2. Go down to "Dimension/Extension Options"

3. Now go to "Opening Options"

4. When you open "Opening Options" you will find "Swing" and this is where you will put in 45.

Steve, it would probably worth your time if you went through all the default settings and set them to how you design or build houses.
