I have to change door ID's for an Architect I work for.

He want the front door always to be "A", front windows near front door to be "1" and so on.

That really makes sense and I want to do the same for my projects.

 

When I do a clean up SP wants to change all my hard work and randomize the order on the plan.

SP generally starts "A" with the first exterior door. Well that fine if original design never changes.

 

Until SP makes opening ID's more customizable, how do I turn off the "Opening Schedule ID Conflict" checker?

You can't ... Sorry. I agree with everything you said.

 

I don't even acknowledge Softplan has Opening ID's. I have made my own opening symbols, and add them to every drawing. When I create the schedule I just hit enter until the conflict message has gone, and then re-number all the openings and re-sort the schedule to suit.

Thanks Keith. I was afraid so.

I always love SP improvements when they come; however it seems a lot of construction and drafting basics are past over by programmers improving software functionality.

I hope some other company doesn't pass them by in this area. That would be bad. Very bad.
