Is there a way to import dgn files?

Never worked with that type of file but from what I can read you might need a program that allows you to convert the dgn to dwg or dxf. Then, you can import in Softplan.

From what I read the .dgn file is a Micro station Cad file.

SoftPlan can not directly import this.

You can use AutCad to import the .dgn file and then it can be converted to a .dwg or .dxf file that SoftPlan can import.

I ran Microstation for 12 years and it has the ability to export to dxf or dwg. You might want to contact the original CAD designer and ask him to export it for you.
