A few quick questions, is there any way to add transoms to a door?  Also, how am I able to make a custom door such as the one in the picture? Thank you.

Hi Matt,

I can answer your question about custom doors. There is a video on how to do it, you can find it under the training tab of softplan's website. Look for Friday Fundamentals under the training section of the website. Then click where you see in the video a red brick house that video has a tutorial on how to make custom doors. It should say Tech Q's and A's. They cover how to make custom glass french door and how to add it to the library. After viewing the video I played with how to make a door and it was pretty easy once you get the hang of it. I only made a hinged type of door however I am not sure if they can make a sliding barn/shed door. Softplan does have the ability to import sketchup files so you may be able to look at the sketchup warehouse to import a shed/barn door if you find that softplan can't make shed/barn doors.

I hope this information helps you.

Dominic

Have a look at these threads too:

To add a transom to a door, edit the opening and click the "ADD TRANSOM" button.
