Crazy Roof Design...help!

Based on my interpretation of the uploaded sketch, it appears relatively easy to do. You will have to add some beams and "match roof planes" on some of the roof edges, but that is typical when drawing this type of roof.
Using the command "match roof planes" you could click that command and select your lower roof edge as the one to match, and then select the other (upper) roof edges so that they took on the same roof plane.
The other thing that will have to be accurate for this type of roof is the wall / beam heights to sit your roof polygons (lollipops) on.

aj,
if i'm reading it right, it's looks like a very simple roof to do with softplan.
it'd help us if you could upload the elevations and/or the picture your client sent you ?
btw, i'd be happy to help you by connecting our computers with "go-to-meeting"
you can send your SPD (necessary) and your SPD file (not that necessary)

AJ/Randy:
Can you post final results, please. I don't mean to offend here Randy, because you are a font of knowledge here, but it is very frustrating to follow a thread, and have it end with "Call me, and I'll fix it for you".
In the old Forum, a lot of threads ended that way, and the only person who learns anything is the Original Poster (OP): It would be nice to have some closure for the rest of us!

Randy,
That is a good point.
It would be great if you could video screen capture the process and upload to YouTube for embedding into this new forum!

Note: we will share our findings out with splash users.
aj,
i read that you asked me if i had a chance to look at the roof
Note: i haven't received any drawings from you > i did check the SPAM folder.
i'm not sure if you meant did i copy the images you posted above and
import them into softplan
or
did you mean you sent me your SPD and SPP files which would of been what i wanted.
i could import the roof plan image and size it to approx what you have
but it'd be much easier for me to start with your Softplan files (SPD / SPP)
and open them in softplan and go from there.
so if possible, could you send them to me at
rpcdesign@aol.com
i have some questions on what you uploaded to splash
so talking to you on the phone would help out
include your phone number, version using, Time Zone. name
i'm in the pacific time zone.
btw, we will share what we find out with splash users.

i fixed the roof for a.j.
now it's up to a.j. to post the procedure for the fix.
right a.j. ?
Randy, thanks again...I'll post the procedure as soon as I get a chance.
Yes, I know there are open wall ends...just can't get them to join properly, but I'm working on it. Maybe the new patch in the update will help.
