Has anyone had anything like this happen? No matter what I do with this roof, the shingles on the front hip do not appear....at the end of my rope....

I've been seeing it more recently too ...

Tech Support's response:

I will forward this issue onto our development team for further review. It seems to be related to Multiple Floor Roof.

I would try adjusting the lollipops or delete and redo the roof and see if either of those solutions work for now, but it does appear to be a known issue.

The house I had problems with was a ranch, and it was the hips of the lay-on gables only that didn't shingle, and only in Ray Trace mode..

You can also try editing it to a gable, and then editing it back to a hip.

Happens every day- many times. Just regenerate and it goes back to what it should.

Thank you all. This is a stubborn roof - doesn't change even when I redraw it.

Anyone had this problem? I have to edit the Roof Edge to fix this every time I open the Project. The only way to fix this is to not use multi-roof and draw the main roof on the first floor and draw the second floor roof on the 2nd floor. The siding not lining up is an issue. I save the elevation as a line drawing and add paint to fix it.

Siding lining up has been an issue for some time.

I wish we could control the offsets.

It would be nice if there was an 'adjust siding to cover gable end' function  (I don't mean ' fit wall to roof ') like there is to 'cover floor system' function

.. invariably, someone will have a simpler solution.

There is an "adjust to soffit" right next to the "cover floor" function that does just that. Although to be fair it sometimes doesn't do it correctly. I think it's been tweaked recently so that it does a much better job than it used too.

I use it and it works good on the gables as long as theres no upstairs openings.
