Good Morning,

I am trying to better understand the Level option on the floor system dialog box, but I am not finding a lot in the on line help.  Just a few questions:

1. Each DRAWING has its own Levels, correct?

2. How does changing the position of the Level affect walls in that drawing?

3. does it also adjust walls and floors above it in the model?

Thanks,

Dave

The level option is for when you have different floor systems on one drawing.

Example.

Level one would be for the 18" floor trusses on the main floor.

Level two would be for the 2X6 floor joists for the covered front porch

Level three would be for the 2X10 floor joists for a screen porch.

By assigning each floor system their own level it keeps all floors and walls the way you want them.

Hope this helps

Floor levels don't have to relate to different kinds of floors but allows you to set different heights and offsets (sunken entrance or split level).

The floor levels are for the current drawing only. You can choose multiple floor levels (or construction) within the floor plan. The LEVELS command ONLY relates to the floor heights. It does NOT affect the walls. You would adjust wall heights manually independently of the floors.

Adjusting the floor heights will not affect the model.
