In v.2014, when saving an elevation as a .spd, the outside edge of the corner boards are 3" off the frame dimension. Is there a way to change this to 1-1/2" off the frame dimension? This seems to be the SoftPlan default setting.

Corner boards.JPGNot sure why you're referencing the framing. The corner board usually relate to your siding? The options that you have is to set the width and thickness of your corner boards in you system or drawings options.

Softplan displays/positions Corner Board thicknesses
starting from the outside face of your Siding and or Stucco.
By default, .. the Exterior Wall Definitions (2x6 Stucco, 2x6 Siding) have the Siding and/or Stucco as 1” thick. This is on top of your wall sheathing thickness of ½” .. so the Trim Board is drawn starting 1 ½” out from the stud framing and projects out its (trim board) given thickness.
Firstly, .. I read your projection from stud as 1 ¾” … (0.5” sheathing + 1.25” trim board = 1.75”.)
(5/4 stock placed against face of wall sheathing?)
For a 1.75” projection from face of foundation to outside face of trim,
set your trim board thickness to ¼”.
As Yvon pointed out .. Material Dimensions .. Trim Options .. Corner Thickness
This might be the easiest thing, … otherwise, ...
If you want to have a displayed/generated trim board projection of 1 ½” that leaves a 0” trim board thickness which won’t work. You’ll have to re-define your walls.
You will have to change your Siding/Stucco dimensional thickness in the Wall Definition
(and adjust all the Horizontal Start dimensions of all other materials in the definition(s) accordingly) .. (lots of hassle)
Example:
Exterior Face of Foundation is in line with outside edge of Stud Framing. Your Wall Sheathing is at ½”. If you re-define your Exterior Finish thickness to be ½” then set your Trim Board thickness to ½” .. the result will generate the outside face of your trim 1 ½” out from stud frame/face of foundation.
It might be better to live with 1 ¾”, .. at least it’s closer than the 3” you don’t like.

There is an inset trim option on the wall edit dialog
I was unaware of that option, ... creates a much simpler solution to the issue.
No need to change anything other than provide an inset dimension.
Thanks for the tip.
