Using 2020.

How come sometimes I use offset and set EXACTLY 3'.  but it shows 3.25' in the diaglog box.   I don't want3.25' I want exactly 3'. 

It's not repeatable, it seems to be random.

But if I retype it before completing the command it still comes up 3.25'.

By any chance is your cursor snap on when you are trying to do the offset. If so that can cause offsets, moves or copies to position incorrectly. I always turn the cursor snap off before doing any of these operations.

No, I know about that.  This is totally different.  I will enter 3' and before I complete the command it shows up in the dialog box as 3' and a fraction.  If I highlight it and re-enter 3' it still changes.  I would happen even if way off to the side in clean area.
