I'm getting very frustrated - for some reason my shadows in 3-D seem to be locked into one position. I have changed direction of North, changed the time of day, changed Time Zones, changed Latitude and Longitude  ----- but for some reason my shadows are stuck in one position!!!! I even ran a Output Option with animation for 'Full Day Sun Study' and the darn shadow NEVER MOVED!!! HA HA

Any help here would be very appreciated

Thanks for viewing,    V2014

You need to enable the custom lighting options . Here is a screen capture of where to change it. Remember you need to do this for each of the 3D modes you want to adjust the sun location for.

Yup it works - thanks for the quick response too!

Any way to set this up in System Options as default? That would be great!

Thanks again,

TOM

I noticed that one or two of the modes actually have different shadows than the others. It's most noticeable on the top down views without roofs or ceilings.

This may have changed in 2016, as that menu doesn't seem to be like that now - don't think we now get the option to calculate shadows now, but the mode shadows are still different in a couple of the modes.
