Hello again,

 

Like my previous question I am making details. I was wondering if SoftPlan has the function to turn something you Drew in SoftPlan into a symbol. Any help is appreciated.

yes.. of course..

 

SYSTEM OPTIONS / SYSTEM LIBRARY .. select SYMBOLS as the "type"... then select a library to save the symbol... then either ONE STEP or WIZARD.. if you drawing details, then you likely want to use ONE STEP...

 

BUT.. for details, I think you'd be better off adding them to you drawing sheets via MULTI-DRAWING or PLAN SETS.. .. that said, making them symbols will work also (except that the details will be harder to edit after you turn them into symbols)...

 

ALSO.. note that SoftPlan ships with many pre-drawn details.. look under DRAW / SYMBOLS / DETAILS... explode them and edit as needed...
