Out of my comfort zone with this.  Anyone spec these over standard site built?  Any issues?

Thanks

Mike

I've been in this industry for 35 years...haven't seen a site built fireplace in at least 30 years...since I left Oregon.  Everything is an insert with a triple wall flue pipe around here

The last site built fireplace I installed was an Isokern... and that was in the late '80's.

Most manufacturers will give you the specs... just copy and paste.

Thanks everyone.  I walked thru project of mine a month ago and found a "Mason Lite" prefab masonry fireplace with a 14'' UL 103 Class A Metal Chimney system where I had drawn a  masonry fireplace with a 42'' firebox.

Did some research and what I read looked ok.  I have never seen a pre-fab, lite weight concrete one...only steel construction so I have no point of reference.  I called a local brick yard as they were listed as distributors and the guy that answered said..."we are?"

Merry Holidays
