I am wondering if there is a way to replace ALL instances of a symbol in SoftPlan.

For example, lights.  If a client wants to replace all 22 instances of a light with a different fixture, is there a way to select all 22 items at once? and then click 'edit', choose the new fixture, and boom - all lights updated?

Same goes for toilets, etc - but those are easier to keep track of.

Right click on one of the symbols and "Select Type">"Edit & Repeat" and change the symbol.

Nice.  I've never used that before.

For items that are included in a schedule, for example electrical fixtures or openings, you can double click on the object in the schedule. Then browse to the object you wish to replace it with. All of the items are replaced with the new item. I use this all the time when changing from 6'-8" tall doors to 7' or 8' tall doors. Quick and efficient and you can see in the schedule which ones have been changed and which ones still need to be changed.

The change symbol command that Sam mentioned earlier is my preferred method.
