Two questions please.

1) Is there a way to adjust the text line spacing in SoftPlan? Things just seem a bit to far apart.

2) Is there a way to get exterior window & door labels a bit closer to the object they are connected to?

Thank you,

1) Not that I know

2) Default positioning is set. You can set in system options only to have the dimension position "Inside of Wall on Window" or "Toward Swing on Door". You can move manually the positioning of your labels.

Line spacing cannot be changed as such, but depending on what font that you use, you may be able to change it to a similar font that has a slightly smaller line spacing. Let me know what font you use and I'll see what options I can come up with.

Although the default position is set, you can always move the note to suit (as Yvon stated). Use F12 to unlock it.

(1) I think line spacing for text should be something the SP experts would be able to add. I think we've all been in situations were you've got 20 notes (Exaggeration!) in a small area on a plan and space becomes a premium. Just my thought!

(2) I was hoping that there would be a default setting for the distance the text label sits away from an object. I don't really want to have to go around to every door and window and move the text individually just because I have a preference.

I thank you guys for your help though!

Just as a slightly OFF TOPIC comment - Does anyone use, or can anyone think of a use for the DOUBLE SPACED checkbox. I don't think that I've ever used it in over 20 years of using Softplan.

Well, that makes it a little more difficult. Try changing it to "Bradley Hand ITC" that will still give you a handwritten look, but is a finer font, and has a slightly smaller line spacing - If it's too fine, print it in a slightly thicker pen. Personally I use "Corbel" which is tighter still, but a much more Arial like Sans Serif font.

STUPID QUESTION .... You do know you're not tied to SOFTPLANS fonts don't you?
