Roof Hole Soffit Problem

I have been having trouble with cutting roof holes in the 2021 version. For some reason it pushes a section of soffit out above the roof. I imagine I'll have to use a workaround till this is fixed or am I doing something wrong?

edit the hole and deselect soffit/fascia

That roof does not need holes. It can be formed with edges that are set to fit to walls.
