Hello all,

I have a quick question on an issue I run into often, when I use "auto roof" when intersecting with another roof, it looks correct on the roof plan, but in elevation/3d mode it ends up "peeking" through the roof it intersects with, so I usually end up doing a vertical intersect and I draw a hole in the roof, curious if I'm missing some setting or is it just broken.

Thanks!

I'd move that upper lollypop down to the same wall that the roof plane is attached, make sure the lollypop says 'intersect and auto pitch'  do a regen or cleanup and it should be identifying the correct plane below it  if that doesn't work then you may have to do 'intersect and vertical plane and cut some holes..

good luck, keep messing with it, eventually it'll work.

The reason this is happening is because the wall of that section is lower than the other one. The part that's poking through is angled up from the edge of the roof on the lower wall. Auto roof doesn't always play nicely on complex roofs.

Hey Joseph & Wendell, Thanks for the help, I was wondering if the different wall heights was the issue.

There are ways to work with the lower wall. You could try tracing the lower roof seperately and seeing if that helps.
