How do you cut off the default site that SP adds to the drawing please. Did it once but can't remember how to save my life.

Thank you,

The default is full to the horizon. If you draw a property line in SITE MODE and give it an offset, it will automatically turn OFF AUTO HORIZON.

And just for future reference for others you need to be in model view for this as the options in 2d are not the same. Thank you for the help Mr. & Mrs. Farnam!

Sorry James, I understood you to want a small grade area round the building I thought you wanted the grade area cut off/cut down. Glad you fixed it.

Ahh! Sorry for the confusion. I'm lucky to have figured out that I needed to be in 3d to get to the Options menu that Farnam's were talking about. At first when I saw options in their response I automatically went to system options to look for it. This was because I have been to the Options menu only once or twice in the time that I have been using the program. And then when I still couldn't find it I thought I was going to have to ask for help again. Fortunate for me I looked at something in 3d while still in that options menu and lo and behold there it was. It was like magic! :)

Thanks all for the help!

Probably a little different but I will piggy back on this post since active.  I dont have a site plan but I need the house to sit 42" above the auto-horizon.  Do I offset all my walls (crawl, first and second) 42" or do I alter the autohorizon to -42"?

What does everyone most commonly do?

Typically, the basement walls are 8' (96"), and the auto horizon is measured from the bottom of the basement walls. So if you want it 42" out of the ground, then you would set the auto horizon at 54"

Definitely adjust the auto horizon. Much simpler and can modify it easily as required.

A little bit quicker way to turn off the Auto Horizon is to use the icon on the SoftView  toolbar. One click off or one click back on!
