My computer will no longer power on so I got a new computer. I had my projects saved online, but the project is still showing as open on the old computer and won't let me open a new session on the new computer. Any thoughts?

Try right click on the project on the start page and there should be an option to close the project on the old computer and open it on your new computer.

Right click on the project on the Start Page and it should give you an option to 'Open Locked Project'.

He did say that his old computer won't power on, so I don't think that's an option.

If worst comes to worst, remove the C drive from the old computer and connect with remote drive to the new computer.......

He stated that the computer doesn't even power up so there would be no way to access anything.

Do you work with any tech people that can pull the hard drive and copy the files to install on another computer?

I have had that done before with good results.

Thanks to everyone who commented.

I ended up just copying the project and renaming the .spp file and that seemed to do the trick.  I was making it more difficult than I needed to.

Thanks again
