I'm posting this here because Softplan is one of the 3D Design suites that is set up for providing material list to Buildertrend. Jubilee Builders is looking for architectural partners that utilize modern features of home design software.
In addition to architectural plans for modifications to our standard floorplans, we desire the following services:
- Material List auto generated by Design Software from final plans which are compatible with BuilderTrend (Jubilee Builders' job-tracking software), to eliminate need for third-party or in-house Take-Off services.
- Real-time web-based collaboration for plan amendments with Sales Reps & Clients (preferably with digital signature capabilities for Client approval), to minimize time for the plan amendment approval process. Can be accomplished with BuilderTrend.

Interactive 3D renderings of amended plans for client review (preferably online accessible & mobile friendly).

3D Renderings/Flythroughs for our standard floorplans, for embedding into the Jubilee Builders website.
All of the above services are features of modern design software. Though not all features are available in every design software on the market, there are some software suites that do offer all these features. Many architects may not be aware of what their software is capable of. We are willing to work with companies that have not yet performed these tasks but are willing to learn. This is why we are reaching out to local vendors, if in-house training is needed.
If you believe a partnership with Jubilee Builders on these terms may be a good fit for your company, this is how we would like to proceed:
PHASE 1 (Proof Of Concept)
- We will talk about which, of the desired features above, your current Design Software is capable of. We will also discuss which features you currently utilize, as well as which ones you are unfamiliar with. The Jubilee Builders' point of contact is Phil Starke (phil@jubileebuilders.com).
- Jubilee Builders will provide the CAD files for one of our standard floorplans to use as proof of concept for as many of our desired services as possible.
Please provide a bid for accomplishing Phase 1 after talking with Phil Starke. Pending bid approval, we will move on with Phase 1. If Jubilee Builders is satisfied with the results of Phase 1, we will move forward to Phase 2.
PHASE 2 (Initial Setup)
- Jubilee Builders will provide additional CAD files of our standard floorplans for initial setup within your Design Software as determined during Phase 1.

You will create the 3D Renderings and/or Flythroughs of the standard floorplans for our website.
Please provide a quote for accomplishing Phase 2 prior to implementation of Phase 2.
After we have updated our website with your 3D Renderings, we will be ready to let the world know what we can offer! With each new Client selecting a floorplan and normally requesting modifications, we will arrive at Phase 3.
PHASE 3 (Recurring Work)
- The Jubilee Builders Sales Rep will annotate the Client's design changes in accordance with the procedures established in Phase 1.
- Collaborative tool use for quick communication between Sales Rep, Client, & Architect is essential. Whether it is accomplished via your Design Software, BuilderTrend, or a third-party software will be determined during Phase 1.

Provide access to the modified plans, along with a 3D rendering, for Client review and approval, as determined during Phase 1.

Any part of the process that requires a signature from the Client or a Jubilee Builders Rep needs to be digitally signed, as determined during Phase 1.

Send Jubilee Builders the detailed Material List from your Design Software, along with stamped plans, based on Client-approved plans.
Please provide a quote for the standard price of completing Phase 3 after completion of Phase 1.
AMOUNT OF WORK
In an effort to avoid the current bottleneck we are experiencing by working with one architect, we plan to evenly distribute our plan collection amongst multiple architects. This will lead to an expected 20-36 plan modifications (Phase 3) throughout the year based on 4-5 total plans for each architect. These numbers are based on the hope that we can establish four architect relationships that meet our requirements. The distribution may increase to 5-6 plans with three architects, or 8-9 plans with two.
Additionally, about 5% of our sales come from third-party plans provided to us by our Clients. Not only will these plans not be pre-loaded in your system, they will likely not come with CAD files and will require a start-from-scratch approach within your Design Software (though many modern suites also possess impressive PDF import tools) prior to being able to provide all the services required for Phase 3. Please provide a quote for the expected price of using a non-standard design along with the quote for standard Phase 3 work.
