I want to have a clean roof layout, seem that the gables and intersect draws a box.  Can't figure out how to get that box out of there

and that left valley doesn't want to show

Instead of drawing 2 separate roofs you can trace around the exterior and change the front to a gable.

Auto roof should give you what you want also.

If you adjust the rear of the gable box towards the front and edit it to intersect you can also fix this.

When you edit it be sure that the intersect roof pitch is correct.

Definitely what steve said...that's a simple enough roof to do in just one roof.

Thanks, Steve 2 fixes.     pulling that box back I haven't tried, but that is good info. especially on more complicated roof.

 

I did do the Elevation  that Keith told me  of using that middle button on elevations, and it pops up a roof layout like an

elevation does and it can be "saved as" a softplan drawing and treated like an elevation, but is a roof layout that can be

changed because it is just lines.

 

Learned a lot of little tidbits on the forum today.
