Is there a better way to import a PDF as shapes in Review to not have it explode everything?

Recently I imported a lighting plan which had a lot of circles representing track lighting and the number of items on the drawing went to about 150000, each circle was exploded into about 450 different segments plus a polygon...lol

Even lines get exploded to multiple segments.

Is there a different format I should be using?

The lighting plan isn't a normal type of file I import, but even surveyor PDF's can get big also.

Btw  DWG's do the same thing, rather than a 1 item circle I get a exploded multi segmented one.

Thanks

Maybe someone else can give better insight but I have imported site plans before that have multiple line segments to represent one line and usually, I just turn on snapping and redraw the lines with SoftPlan shapes and then erase the existing lines. Yes, it can become time consuming, but I think it comes down to the file format and how it is exported from the host software.

Yes, that’s what I’ve been doing also, especially with circles. Text is a little harder to do.

Nice to ask for the DWG whenever possible. Even that can be a mess.

Thanks, I am able to import as a pdf and draw over it on a separate layer but the question is how could you import a pdf and only have a circle representing 1 item instead of 200?
