Can anyone tell me if there is a way to eliminate the profile repeat as shown in the attached image. The walls on either side of the kitchen build out are continuous, but the model has vertical lines splitting up the siding. I decided to try adding a profile to the siding in my wall definition instead of just using textures, hoping to get more pronounced horizontal lines in the siding.

Unfortunately it seems to be typical behavior. I find trying different settings on the SoftView render options sometimes helps. But, it can be frustrating finding a good setting for all parts of a model to represent well.

A profile should extend the length of whatever it applies to. But, SP seems to automatically break walls up in how they fit with openings, roofs, etc. So, sometimes it is a rendering mode setting that makes the difference.
