Does anyone ever get responses or feedback when you add something to the SP suggestion box? It seems like suggestions just go into a black hole...

You will only get feedback if your suggestions are ambiguous ... if they are easily understood, then they are just added to the list of requests that may or may not make it into future versions. Depending on how important the suggestion is deemed, or how easily it can be accomplished.

 

I have had requests for clarification on some of my suggestions.

I have sometimes been asked for clarification on my suggestions, so I would say they do consider at them.

I have had a suggestion or two implemented. They are paying attention.

Yeah, didn't expect much, maybe just an acknowledgement. Even a canned response would be better than crickets.

When logging a suggestion through the Technical Support page on our website you should get a confirmation message on screen after submitting the suggestion.

 

"Thank You, your suggestion has been received. If clarification is required you will be contacted directly."

 

Suggestions logged through the forum do not have an automated response but we monitor the page regularly.

 

Please be assured that all suggestions are read and reviewed for future consideration. If clarification is required we will request more information.

Thanks Brent - I didn't see a confirmation message, maybe I just missed it. I did hear from someone at SP this morning about my suggestion, thanks. I do miss the good old days when I could pick up the phone and talk through an issue with a real live human being whose name I actually recognized.  :)

Phone support is still available to SoftPlan 2016 and 2018 customers. We just have more options for support now.

That's good to know, thanks. I don't see a support phone number on the SP website, is it the same as the sales number?

SoftPlan+ subscribers also have a toll free number available that will show up on their start page.

No black hole, they listen.  Good feeling if your suggestion is implemented in a new release or hotfix.
