Two story house. Each floor on separate page. I want all floors to line up when printed.

How do you line up floor plans on different plan set sheets?

I always start out by using paint lines set at the margins for my sheet size (as a guide to my scale / sheet size / title block layout) and center my floor plan as much as it makes sense inside those paint lines. Nice thing is the paint lines can be dimensioned off of and seen in the plan, but do not print. Then I use the top reference point and either select a good corner on the floor plan or set up a reference guide wall outside of the floor plan but within my border. Then, every floor plan in the model is set in the same spot. So, when I add the drawing to my plan set it centers it on the plan set page. Occasionally I will move the plan around on a plan set page, but most often I keep it centered. If I do move it around but want it back at the center, I can either use the align tool to try and re-center it if needed, or delete and add it back into the plan set page to center it again.

You may want to try the "Align with Another Drawing" tool on the right click from within a Plan Set.

John,

Does this work between two different plan set pages? I believe that is what Tom was asking.

I am itching to get into a full project in 2022, just haven't had the guts to do it and encounter issues. There certainly are some great new features.

Richard and Mark, this feature works great!  It appears to align with both X & Y with the same single command.  I learned something new today.

Stop waiting Mark. The issues are minor and nothing you can't deal with. The pluses far outweigh the drawbacks- not even close.

Maybe will try a smaller job soon. Just can't stand getting into something and running into bigger issues.

I have been using it for a while now.

Have not run into anything that can't be resolved.

You'll be fine starting new projects with 2022.  I make sure not to open existing projects with the new release.....sometimes accidently forget so have to get my cloud service backup .spp file in order to open with 2020 again.
