Thanks in advance, I have an addition to design but i have a narrow lot(on a lake). I need to make sure I keep 10ft setback from property lines. I have a certificate of survey but I am not seeing how to put the existing house position relative to the property lines, or the where the dimensions are that tell me the corner of the house. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

You will need to get a surveyor to do a site plan including the house, if that’s what your asking.

yep. then get a dwg/dxf file from them and you're set.

I use google earth for this all the time.  save earth view as jpg...import into softplan and stretch till it fits the property boundary.  If you're trying to get the addition as large as possible, I'd still get a survey...but this method will get you close if it doesn't need to be exact

If we do not have surveyors site plan we can generate one using the private property mapping in GAIA GPS App.

Saving it as a jpeg , importing  to SP, adjusting size and sketching site lines in SP Site Mode. Similar to Sam's use

of Google Earth with a differrence being property is outlined and owners name shown
