I was putting the finishing touches to a presentation and in doing a surface edit of the countertops when the counter tops disappeared. They are still on the floor plan drawing (.spd) but not in any of the 3D views.  I lost all countertops at the same time (both Kitchen bases and vanity tops). It is not a system issue because I and can open other projects and the countertops are there.

Check when in 3D under Materials if the finish box is still checked to be visible.

"DISPLAY" box checked in // options / materials  for countertops

For me, I meant the Countertop finish box in the Material Texture
